The Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Leadership Program is an integral part of the Farm Bureau organization. The purpose of the program is to promote agriculture through education, leadership and advocacy.
The Fluvanna County Women’s Committee is committed to actively supporting agriculture in the county by:

Agriculture in the Classroom Participation
Reading agriculture-related books to elementary and special needs classes -
Providing “Ag In A Bag”
A bag of learning tools available to teachers and parents at the local library that provides reading materials, activity sheets and interactive activities of farming in Virginia -
Participating in Ag Day
An opportunity to educate 4th graders on all types of farming in Virginia -
Partnering with Virginia Cooperative Extension
to promote agriculture and support 4-H -
Supporting Young Farmers and FFA

Providing Scholarships
Available to qualifying graduating HS seniors who are Fluvanna residents and plan to continue their education in an agriculture-related field -
Supplying the Farm Bureau Book Barn
with agriculture-related materials

Sponsoring a Christmas party for local nursing home residents

Donating Can Tabs to Ronald McDonald House to purchase needed items
